The roller table is the main equipment for transporting rolled pieces in the steel rolling workshop. Its weight accounts for about 40% of the total weight of the equipment in the steel rolling workshop. It is the most used equipment in the steel rolling workshop. The work of rolling pieces entering and leaving the heating furnace, reciprocating rolling on the rolling mill and conveying to the finishing process after rolling are all completed by the roller table. The roller table is mainly composed of guide plate, guard plate and several rollers, as well as several motors, their transmission shafts and reducers. How many types of roller table are there according to their use?

1. Working roller table

The working roller table is close to the working stand. Before and after the working stand, the rolled pieces are fed into the rolling mill. After rolling, the rolled pieces are caught and returned to the rolling mill for rolling until the finished products are rolled and sent to the next process.

The working roller table is divided into rack roller table, main working roller table and auxiliary working roller table.

Rack roller table refers to a few work rolls installed in the rack of the work stand.

The main working roller table is close to the working frame. It feeds the rolled pieces into the rolling mill and receives the rolled pieces. Therefore, it is a roller table that often participates in the work, so it is called the main working roller table.

When the length of rolled piece exceeds the main working roller table, another group of working roller tables will participate in the work. This group of roller tables is called auxiliary working roller table, or extended roller table.

The working roller table on the rolling mill is also divided into input roller table and output roller table. One side of the incoming roll of the rolled piece is called the input roller table, and the other side of the outgoing roll is called the output roller table. That is, the one from the heating furnace to the hot rolling mill is called the input roller table, the one from the hot rolling mill to the next process is called the output roller table, and the extension part at both ends of the output and input roller tables is called the extension roller table.

2. Conveyor roller table

It is a roller table specially used to transport rolled pieces, from the raw material yard to the heating furnace or from the heating furnace to the rolling mill, as well as the roller table used to connect various auxiliary equipment of the rolling mill. The conveying roller table is divided into input roller table and output roller table according to the direction of the process flow.
